A crime fighting community organization known as Detroit 300, will be launching a patrol to combat crime and gangs after the shooting death of an infant.

The infant, Delric Waymon Miller Iv, died after a series of AK-47 shots were fired into his home.

Founded in 2010 by Raphael B. Johnson, Detroit 300 is a coalition of citizens, groups and businesses who state they will do anything to deter crime in a community riddled by gangs and violence.

The patrols will focus on high crime areas identified by Detroit police analysis report.
