Over the past week Maurice Kain Carter, known as hotdamnirock on Youtube, has been sprawled into a controversy that even has celebrities with verified check marks mad. On what you ask?
Kain has been accused of stealing the late comedian Patrice O’Neal’s material and using it as his own.
Allegations
The twitter world went crazy when Dante Nero, a close friend of Patrice O’Neal, called out the 26-year-old for allegedly stealing a ‘dead man’s material’.
Kain immediately reached out Dante to explain his intentions. After speaking with Kain Carter, Dante Nero said he realizes Kain’s intentions weren’t out of ‘ill will’, but “you must quote where you get your material from when it’s not yours”.
Turning down interviews, the Maryland native responded to the allegations via his Youtube account with a video called ‘my response’.
Kain Carter’s Response
Kain explained he was never stealing Patrice O’Neal’s material, but paying homage to the great comedian with hopes of getting attention from Dante Nero, to get on the Biege Phillips Show.
I must admit, I’m a fan of Kain’s and didn’t know how to react to the allegation.
Notice I call it allegations because at the end of the day I still don’t feel like he was “stealing”. To me, it was just a big misunderstanding.
Furthermore, Kain Carter is not a comedian folks. Never was, and never claimed to be.
And after his response, my respect for Kain has just magnified.

There is nothing to misunderstand. Kain Carter is a fake. His real name isn’t even Kain. He’s a little boy doing other people’s stand-up material in his mom’s bathroom BECAUSE HE DOESN’T HAVE THE GUTS TO TRY HIS OWN MATERIAL ON STAGE. His response is a classic example of a delusional narcissist “apologizing” without accepting any responsibility for their actions (or saying “I’m sorry.”). He’s a scumbag.

Kain’s career will not be affected by this. This was a jump on the bandwagon hype by a no-name comedian! People are no longer talking about this. In fact, Kain’s subscribers went up after this incident. Tells you a lot right?
