The TV-movie will chronicle Houston’s volatile relationship with singer-songwriter Bobby Brown during her rise to musical superstardom.
Her growing career
Since starring in America’s Top Model, YaYa DaCosta has continued to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry landing recurring roles on shows including All My Children, Ugly Betty and House. She’s also scored big screen roles, most recently in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
Angela Bassett will direct the biopic, which is set for a 2015 release.
