Man To Spend 11 Years in Prison For 16-Year-Old Dione Payne’s Murder
A Franklin, Ohio man will only spend 11 years in prison for his role in the robbery and beating death of 16-year-old Dione Payne of Dayton, Ohio in December.
One of the men responsible for the murder of Dione Payne has been sentenced.
Adam Patrick, 30, of Franklin, Ohio will only spend 11 years in prison for his role in the robbery and beating death of 16-year-old Dione Payne of Dayton, Ohio in December.
Patrick pleaded guilty Monday in Warren County Common Pleas Court to aggravated robbery. Judge Robert Peeler immediately sentenced him.
Patrick is the second of three men to admit guilt in Payne’s death on Dec. 1.
In May, Michael Geldrich, 36, pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and tampering with evidence. A charge of rape and a second charge of kidnapping were dismissed because Geldrich agreed to testify against Patrick and the third co-defendant, Michael Watson, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said.
Franklin police and Warren County prosecutors said Payne was beaten with a table leg while he slept on a couch in Geldrich’s residence on Vernon Street.
Geldrich is awaiting sentencing for the murder of Dione Payne.
