Police have released surveillance video of Christian Taylor at a car dealership moments before he was shot and killed by Arlington, TX police. But there are still many unanswered questions as to what happened that led him to being fatally shot.

Christian Taylor shooting

It is clear in the video that Taylor, who was unarmed, was criminally trespassing and vandalizing vehicles in what appears to be a drunken state.

No one knows why he entered the car dealership but whatever he was doing appears to be very sloppy and not a calculated attempted “car burglary”.

There is no excuse for what Taylor was doing and his behavior, but at the same time it still provides no defense for being fatally shot over what appears to be drunk and disorderly.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson said during a Saturday press conference, that four shots were fired. He did not clarify how many of those hit Taylor, but he did confirm it was “multiple times.”

Officer Brad Miller, was identified as the shooter. He is on administrative leave “pending the results of an internal investigation,” which the FBI says they are assisting the department with.

Other officers were on the scene, but Miller is the only one who fired his weapon, Johnson explained.

Johnson said during the press conference that “everything about the outcome of this incident is a tragedy. Our community is hurting, a family is hurting and our department is hurting.”

He added that “If this was not justified there will be consequences.”

Just last week, Taylor tweeted: “I don’t wanna die too young.”
