Henry Ford Model T and assembly line allow students to be creative

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School students completed research on the Henry Ford’s assembly line and the Ford Model T.
Ford Model T project
They showed through this project how Henry Ford’s assembly line worked by the construction of the Ford Model T. For instance, the students displayed in their drawings how the Ford Model T went through a series of stages to be assembled.
One student had at the first stage the wheels, seats, engine, and roof were all separate. Then stage two, the wheels and the seats come together. Finally, the last stage the entire Model T. was assembled with the engine and roof.
Student projects
Besides the assembly line, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School students had the liberty to develop their own vehicle. Through this process they not only described their own assembly line but also drew pictures of their final product.
Some of the students drew their own sports car while others got some ideas from recent movies. For example, some students created vehicles based on space ships from the Star Wars movie The Force Awakens, the Batmobile from the movie Batman v Superman, the tanks from the Gareth Edwards movie Godzilla, and one student called their car the Colossus from the character in the movie Deadpool.
In addition, based off a picture Mr. Wronko took of the 1966 Batmobile, the one used in the Adam West Batman show, a student made modifications to make the Batmobile in that TV series go faster.
Wow, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School students have very creative minds.
