State of Black America panel

Tragedy has stuck our community by leaps and bounds; for these mothers, it hit much closer to home.  Valerie Castile, mother of Philando, who was shot to death during a police traffic stop; Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed after an altercation with George Zimmerman; Wanda Johnson, mother of Oscar Grant, who was shot by a BART Police officer; and attorney Benjamin L. Crump come together, collectively standing up to fight against violence.  They do not want the death of their sons to have been in vain.

How to join the discussion

Come hear their story, what they are doing to help incite change via their foundations, and how you can make a difference during a special “State of Black America” panel at Circle of Sisters, the largest EXPO in New York City uniting, motivating and celebrating women of color.
