Let’s celebrate Juneteenth, a day remembering the emancipation of enslaved African Americans is a very important one.

Celebrate Juneteenth

Not only is it a celebration of how African Americans overcame the horrors of slavery but also how they went on to building the foundation of the United States of America.

Through the course of history, we see how African Americans fought and sacrificed their lives for the country and also, we see how they fought for equality for all. From there we see how many great African Americans became scientists, doctors, lawyers, athletes and hold the most prestigious positions of president and vice president.

Long journey ahead

In my opinion, Juneteenth shows us the long journey of a road being built to a better America. The holiday opens up the eyes of society to come together for the unity of the country.

Also let’s pay homage to Opal Lee, the strongest 94-year-old woman I ever seen, who walked many miles to encourage the passage of the bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday (Image from Variety)

Let’s Celebrate A Better America for everyone!
