Malikah Shabazz, a daughter of Malcolm X, was found dead Monday, reports ABC News.

She was 56.

Authorities say Shabazz was found inside of her Brooklyn home by her daughter.

According to the report, the death of Malikah Shabazz, did not appear to be suspicious, said a spokeswoman for the city medical examiner, who will determine the cause of death. A high-ranking police official said accidental food poisoning may have played a role.

Shabazz’s death comes just days after two men were exonerated in the 1965 assassination of her father civil rights icon Malcolm X, after a nearly two-year-long re-investigation.

Shabazz and her twin sister, Malaak, were born in 1965 after their father was assassinated.
