Sinners & Saints, Washington, D.C.’s only QTBIPOC-owned bar, was broken into and vandalized over Black Pride weekend in what the team calls a hate crime.
The bar serves as a safe haven for queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and people of color. The team says the attack feels deeply personal, but they remain resilient.
Community supports Sinners & Saints bar
Following an outpouring of community support, the fundraising goal has been raised. Beyond initial repairs, funds will go toward a new security system and increased security presence to ensure the bar remains a safe space, especially as we celebrate Pride Month.
While the fundraiser goal has been met, the team is still accepting donations. They note we will be donating 15% of all donations to QTBIPOC Support Groups.
