BLK, the premier dating and social app for the Black community, has unveiled its latest Pride Month campaign initiative: “Solidarity is for the Homies.”

BLK solidarity campaign

The campaign shines a light on the nuanced relationships between queer and straight Black men, paying homage to the power of Black brotherhood while calling for a more inclusive vision of unity.

More than a celebration, the campaign challenges traditional notions of masculinity and allyship by affirming that true solidarity embraces every identity. Through this lens, BLK invites the community to envision a brotherhood where authenticity is not just accepted, but affirmed.

Survey: A Portrait of Where Black Brotherhood Stands

BLK surveyed nearly 3,000 Black men to explore friendship, masculinity and queerness in the community. Nearly half identified as allies to queer Black men, and 61% said they’ve never avoided queer friendships. But 30% admitted to making harmful jokes, and more than half said they might not intervene if a queer friend was disrespected in public. The findings reflect both progress and persistent gaps—and a clear need for honest dialogue and inclusive brotherhood.
