ST. PAUL, Minn. — Kindred Clinical Consulting, a Minnesota-based, minority-owned and woman-led firm, is raising $10,000 to fully operationalize its equity-centered consulting services for behavioral health programs across the state.

Founded by Keara Nadeau-Grandy, LICSW, the firm is committed to elevating clinical standards through trauma-informed supervision, documentation integrity, and consulting services tailored for residential, crisis, and community-based providers. These organizations often lack internal resources to meet increasingly complex compliance demands.
Fundraising efforts
Kindred’s fundraising campaign will cover the final startup costs necessary to expand its impact. Funds will support:
- Finalizing branding, website development, and marketing materials
- Purchasing HIPAA-compliant software and tools for virtual supervision
- Expanding outreach to agencies across Minnesota
- Launching CEU-approved training events and documentation toolkits
- Covering liability insurance and administrative infrastructure
Total startup expenses are estimated between $5,000 and $8,000, including LLC registration, technology, branding and compliance support. Kindred aims to offer a scalable solution for providers serving Minnesota’s most vulnerable communities.
Kindred Clinical Consulting founder brings more 20 years experience
Nadeau-Grandy brings more than 20 years of experience in mental health services and over seven years in clinical leadership, including at the director level. Kindred will collaborate with agencies and pre-licensed clinicians to:
- Provide board-approved clinical supervision (LICSW, LGSW, LPCC tracks)
- Deliver diagnostic and functional assessments reimbursable by insurance
- Train staff on documentation standards aligned with DHS requirements
- Support programs preparing for audits or corrective action plans
As staffing shortages, burnout, and documentation fatigue impact care quality, Kindred seeks to strengthen the backbone of community-based mental health services—especially programs led by BIPOC clinicians or serving high-risk populations.
