The owner of the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, N.J. has denied allegations that she or any employee of her business took a picture of Whitney Houston in her casket.

In a press conference, Carolyn Whigham and two local pastors said although they do know who took the picture, they would not identify the person.

“It’s up to the Houston family to release the name,” said the Rev. Jethro James, pastor of Paradise Baptist Church.

Whigham, who has known the Houston’s for decades, demanded apologies from those suggesting either herself or an employee at the Whigham funeral home took the picture of the pop diva lying in her casket.

“I want to clear my name and my funeral home,” said Whigham, who said she had received dozens of vicious and threatening emails and was also spit on following what Slaughter called “false and unsubstantiated rumors.” – NJ.COM

Whigham stated in the conference, although the Houston family has stopped its inquiry on the matter, they have not, and is considering taking legal action.

The family hired security to watch Whitney Houston’s body around the clock. The funeral home’s investigation revealed the picture was taken on February 17th, a day before the home going service.
