A case that has sparked conversations on race relations and gun laws, has the nation waiting on pins and needles for the verdict.
Yesterday was fiery but filled with passion as the defense rested its case, and the prosecution rebutted. After nearly three weeks in the trial, it was the last day for both sides to argue their case.
Now, it’s in the hands of the jury. The jury began deliberations Friday, and resumed Saturday morning.
The prosecution’s argument is George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin, and acted in “ill will” and “spite”, which led to the teenager’s death.
The defense argues George Zimmerman acted in self-defense when attacked by Trayvon Martin, and had no other choice to shoot him.
