Sometimes I wonder myself who I am exactly…

Well…. My name is DaRuddest Jones. A poetic girl from the Bronx who has absolutely no chill button! Quiet is not exactly what I know how to be. Perhaps you think that’s a bad thing. I personally find it to be a good thing. Seeing as to how so many young women have yet to find their voices. They have yet to know who they are, where they are going and what their purpose in life is.

Now…. My purpose you wonder!

My purpose is to simply entertain. To say the things you think but would never say aloud. To shine light on injustices and sheer f–kery. I want to draw your attention to what you overlook. I want to tell you about the things happening in your community… The good, the bad and the ugly. I just want to be a voice. The currently unheard voice. The voice of the lesbian poet, writer, producer, performance coach, event coordinator who is trying to make it. I want to be the voice of the little girl who was always bullied. I want to be the voice of the lost and sometimes depraved. I want to put a face to the struggle. I want to be the poster child for grind. I want to tell you about what it is to grow with no room. I just want to be.

So many times a day we walk past amazing people on the street and never bother to think about who they are.

I, DaRuddest Jones, will offer you information on new and thriving artist of the underground. I will share my thoughts on current events as well as share my thoughts on some of my very favorite TV shows.

I want to show you life through my crazy thoughts and crazy days. I want to be that one person who makes you chuckle on a bad day. I want to tell you about the world we call New York City and a whole host of other amazing things.

If there is anything you would like to know or ask me do feel free. I will respond to any and everything. I have a project called #AskRude and anything you ask no matter the topic I will happily answer.
