‘The Voice’ former contestant, Jamar Rogers, reportedly hospitalized in intensive care
Jamar Rogers former contestant of NBC’s “The Voice” was placed in icu after initially seeking treatment for a lung infection.
Jamar Rogers, 31, former contestant of NBC’s “The Voice” was placed in intensive care earlier this week after initially seeking treatment for a lung infection, according to a news release on his website.
After his performance at EastWest Studios in Hollywood last Tuesday September 3rd, Jamar Rogers checked in with medics under the recommendation of his manager where he was diagnosed with a lung infection.
However, due to the state of his condition and general health, Jamar has spent the last week in the hospital where on Monday was taken into critical condition.
This comes at a pivotal time in Jamar’s career. Having just signed to Tommy Boy Entertainment, he recently finished filming a music video for his upcoming single “Drink of You” set to be released on October 8th with the video premiering 2 weeks later.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Jamar has dealt with physical hardships. In 2006, he was diagnosed with HIV.
Since then, Jamar Rogers has been actively working in his community to demystify HIV and to remove the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, along with doing his best to spread a message of hope and second chances to a generation of young people living with HIV/AIDS.
Unheard Voices sends our prayers your way. Get well soon Jamar.
