A California mother who innocently laughed at a stranger while driving was killed moments later in front of the police.

Denise Berry, a California mother who innocently laughed at a stranger while driving, was killed moments later in front of the police.
“It appears to be random or misguided,” Lt. Dave Coleman told the Daily Breeze about the cold-blooded killing.
Berry, 44, was driving with her 12 year-old son Wednesday afternoon, when the boy made eye contact with three men in a near by Cadillac, police said.

Berry’s son noticed that one of the passengers feet were hanging from the car and he laughed and commented: “Look at that, isn’t that funny?”
As they continued to ride, the mother and son noticed they were being followed by the men.
The 44 year old warned Hawthrone police, who were nearby, and they gave her direction to park in front of them.
It was moments later that the men in the car pulled up and opened fire. Berry died on the scene while her son was shot and injured. He was later released from the hospital.
On Friday, the driver of the Cadillac, 24-year-old Stanley White, was charged with murder. The other person in the car has not been charged.
Investigators are still piecing together what may have led up to the shooting.
