Every time I introduced a topic in Black History, my students were always engaged.

From topics such as the 54th Massachusetts Regiment to the Tuskegee Airmen all the way to Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement, my students loved hearing about how blacks fought extremely hard for their rights, to be recognized, and to show they are proud American citizens.

Black History Is Incredible History

I named this article because everyone should know about how the first black regiment, the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, fought bravely to the last soldier trying to take Fort Wagner of the Confederate States of America during the time of the American Civil War. Because of their effort, this led to the tremendous movement to end slavery.

Black History Is Incredible History I named this article because everyone should know about the Tuskegee Airmen and how they had to fight racism in their own country to prove themselves that they were the best pilots you could have on your side. By my God they were right. These brave men protected U.S. Bombers and made sure that for every mission they would fight to the end to protect these bombers.

Black History Is Incredible History I named this article because everyone should know about Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. Everyone should know how blacks had to endure racism and discrimination to finally getting their rights to stand tall in society. Everyone should know because of Dr. King, all races finally started to come together to make a stronger America. This stronger America could be seen with the election of our first black president, Barack Obama.

When I explained black history this way to my students, they were all engaged and why wouldn’t they be because Black History Is Incredible History.

In closing my students loved when I had two Black Vietnam Veterans, George Reed, and Wilbur Martin visit the school to give them a presentation on their duties during the Vietnam War. My students loved pretending they were workers for Franklin Roosevelt in constructing the airplanes for the Tuskegee Airmen. My students loved hearing about the great Tuskegee Airmen George Watson and his bravery during World War II.
