Texas father arrested for daughters murder

Egyptian-born Yaser Abdel Said, 63, was arrested Wednesday on a capital murder warrant.

Said had been wanted in connection with the slaying of Sarah Yaser Said, 17, and Amina Yaser Said, 18 since they were killed on New Years Day in 2008.

The terrible tragedy

The sisters were found shot to death in a cab outside a motel in Irving, Texas.

One of the sisters called 911 to say she was dying, but most of what she said to the 911 dispatcher was unintelligible, and she was unable to provide their location.

Help,” police had determined it was Sarah who called 911, cried into the phone. “I’m dying. Oh my God. Stop it.”

They were ultimately located by someone who called 911 about an hour after Sarah called, who saw the girls in the cab with blood. “They don’t look alive,” the caller told the dispatcher.

The girl’s mother had fled with the girls a week before they were murdered out of fear that Said would cause “bodily harm” after threatening Sarah for going on a date with a non-Muslim.
