Authorities are still seeking the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Krystal Anderson, who was reported missing August 23rd.
Krystal Anderson missing
The South Carolina mother was living with her boyfriend, 49-year-old Tony Berry, when she was last seen on August 30th.
After interviews by authorities, Berry was named as a suspect and was arrested Wednesday night on one count of kidnapping.
Krystal’s sister, Shidira Smothers, told News19 the arrest is not the end.
“I’ve got to tell my mom something and I almost wish I didn’t have to tell her he was captured because now her question is where is her baby? Where is she at? I don’t know what to tell her,” Smothers said through tears.
Shadira told Dateline NBC that on Tuesday, August 23, she received a concerning phone call from the father of one of Krystal’s children. He told her Krystal failed to pick their son up from his house that Sunday and he hadn’t heard from her.
Shadira said Krystal would never miss the time to pick up her children, so she immediately grew worried.
Information on her whereabouts
As the family continues in their search, they ask that anyone with tips or information about Krystal’s whereabouts, to come forward and contact law enforcement.
They also ask for continued prayers and positive thoughts as they work to bring their sister, daughter, mother, and friend home safely.
Krystal is 5’1”, 105 lbs. with black hair and green eyes.
Aiken County Sheriff’s Office phone number is (803) 642-1761.
