Alysha Burney, who had over 5 million followers across social media, died unexpectedly in Mexico the day before her 25th birthday.

A GoFundMe has been started to help her family during this difficult time.

Alysha’s brother told Fox 24, the influencer passed away from an asthma attack in her sleep while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on March 2. He was reportedly with his sister at the time of death.

Alysha was a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and joined YouTube in February 2013. She went viral after posting Bad Girls Club parodies and gained millions of followers across her social media, amassing 2.5 million on TikTok and 1.27 million subscribers on YouTube.

“She will always be dearly loved, and her legacy will live on forever,” Alysha’s brother Charles Burney told Fox4 News, adding that she was on vacation “to celebrate her birthday.”

“Alysha was very goal-oriented, creative, and passionate about giving back. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Digital Media Production and was working towards her graduate degree,” he continued.

Alysha also owned ABurney productions, which already released a film and more projects were on the way.
