BLK, the leading dating and social app for Black singles, surveyed thousands of users to identify the best cities for dating, culture, and connection.

Based on the responses, the results highlight where Black singles report the highest satisfaction in romantic prospects, cultural resonance, and community support.

The nationwide survey asked users to rate their cities across six key categories, including partner availability and overall vibe. The final scores reflect lived experiences and self-reported insights, offering a clear picture of where Black love is thriving.

Top 10 Cities for Black Singles in 2025

  1. Houston, TX (8.24)  : Southern charm meets city energy. A strong Black community, vibrant brunch scene, and entrepreneurial spirit make Houston a dating hotspot.
  2. Chicago, IL (7.78): From Hyde Park to Bronzeville, Chicago blends history, culture, and summer vibes for singles seeking depth and connection.
  3. New York, NY (7.60): Endless options for dating, culture, and community—whether uptown, downtown, or somewhere in between.
  4. Charlotte, NC (7.39) : A rising city for young Black professionals looking to build careers and relationships in a dynamic Southern setting.
  5. Washington, DC (7.38): Power, legacy, and a conscious dating scene. DC offers strong networks and cultural pride for Black singles.
  6. Baltimore, MD (7.30): Real, rooted, and artistic. Baltimore’s dating scene reflects its authenticity and deep community ties.
  7. Atlanta, GA (7.25): Long hailed as the mecca of Black excellence, ATL delivers diversity in dating—from tech to music to finance.
