Authorities are searching for 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes who they say went missing on December 28th while visiting family in Baltimore, Maryland.

Authorities are searching for 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes who they say went missing on December 28th while visiting family in Baltimore, Maryland.

Phylicia Barnes goes missing

The high school senior and honor student, who is originally from North Carolina, was last heard from via a Facebook posting she made that she was at her sister’s apartment with her sister’s boyfriend.

Several people who visited the apartment are currently considered persons of interest.

There has been no activity on Barnes’ Facebook account, bank account or cell phone account since she was reported missing, Baltimore police said.

Last seen

Barnes was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded pea coat, a turquoise thermal shirt, blue jeans and white slippers/boots.

Investigators in Baltimore are offering a $2,500 reward for information in her disappearance. The tip line number is 1-855-223-0033.

Billboards featuring blown-up photos of Phylicia Barnes are being placed along the Interstate 95 corridor between Baltimore and New York.

They will include the number of the 24-hour toll-free tip line that was recently created for the case.
