According to reports, the funeral is expected to happen later this week in her hometown of Newark, NJ.
According to the NJ Star Ledger, a person with close ties to the family states the funeral will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
The family has not confirmed this as of yet.
Houston’s body was released Monday, and reportedly was transported back to the East Coast on Tyler Perry’s private jet.
Mourners have already left flowers and cards outside of the Newark, NJ church where Houston began singing as a child.
