We have a winner for the 2012 NCAA Championship.

John Calipari has his first national title and UK has its first since 1998.

The Kentucky wildcats took the lead from the beginning of the game and never relinquished it as they beat the Kansas Jayhawks 59 to 67.

Freshman sensation Anthony Davis received the most valuable player of the game as he stopped Kansas with his defensive play.

He becomes one of the handful of freshmen to win a national title. Deron Lamb led the way with 22 points for Kentucky. It was a hard fought game as Kansas tried to come back from a 14 point deficit at halftime but Kentucky proved to be too powerful.

Congratulations Kentucky on winning the 2012 NCAA Championship title!
