Beyonce transcended to more than the lead of Destiny’s Child, she is at first a human being and a woman that is like anyone else walking this earth. Although her life may be different than yours in some ways, she is just like you in many more which is on full display in “Life Is But A Dream” a documentary made Beyonce’s way.
The doc evokes a sense of spirituality and intelligence about the subject that is being filmed. You understand the focus that was initially in her life’s journey, and the path in which she took to get there.
In many parts of the doc you see “her” as human in more aspects that you imagined, and you take on her feelings throughout the piece as you watch. You feel her jubilation when she speaks of being a child and what it meant to have her father’s approval. You feel her sadness when she discusses one of the biggest decisions she had to make in her career regarding her father, only to lose him as a figure in her life.
The aspect of love, marriage and children was the most soul stirring part of the doc for me personally. I related to her in so many ways in regards to this, and the fact that she shared these aspects of her life to the world was an honor.
Yes, Beyoncé has kept these parts of her life private for quite some time but these aspects are sacred in one’s life and in my opinion something when you are in her business you’ve got to covet. To not only see the tremendous love that she has for her husband and daughter, but to see how spiritual and soulful she is was a privilege to witness.
I THANK YOU Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, for opening up a part of yourself that I know you hold dear and to give a piece of that to us was amazing.
Life is but a dream.
A fan!
