Jaden Smith Modeling Louis Vuitton’s New Womenswear Line Is Epic
Jaden Smith is breaking down barriers showing there’s no limit to gender roles.
The buzz of social media right now is Will & Jada’s Smith handsome son Jaden. Why? Jaden has just joined the illustrious ranks of models to represent Louis Vuitton for their new women’s line. In the campaign, Jaden sports a black skirt and a mesh, fringed tank top. He appears alongside several female models in one of the photos.

People are talking about this young man wearing a skirt. How it is morally wrong. Some saying it is morally right. But to me, Jaden Smith modeling Louis Vuitton’s new women’s wear line is epic, and I’m going to tell you why.
Jaden is breaking down barriers showing there’s no limit to gender roles. In a society where everything tells you to conform, Jaden is letting us know to forget what everyone else thinks and be you. I have always applauded Will & Jada for letting their kids freely express themselves instead of strapping them down to conformity.
Gender role stereotyping has created societal norms which dictates what roles are acceptable for each gender. Girls shouldn’t play with trucks and boys shouldn’t play with dolls. Girls should wear pink, and boys should wear blue. Women shouldn’t wear boxers, and well boys shouldn’t wear skirts. Moreover, gender roles has become a huge issue, especially in the LGBT community where it is always questioned and looked down upon on lesbian women who act masculine, and gay men who act feminine.
Jaden Smith modeling this new line sheds light on this issue and how, as a society, we should look at how stereotyping can be detrimental and harmful. I applaud Jaden Smith for taking this step to freely express who he is without fault.
And quite frankly, if you don’t like men or boys in skirts, don’t look but let this boy live. If he can teach you anything, it is to BE & DO YOU!
