Watch : Nick Cannon On Living With Lupus
Entertainer and TV personality Nick Cannon announced in 2012 that he has lupus. Like myself, Nick Cannon is taking it one day at a time.
On my blog, I will spotlight celebrities who suffer from lupus and how they are dealing with it.
Nick Cannon, 36, who is an actor, rapper, comedian, and entertainer was diagnosed with lupus kidney disease (also called lupus nephritis) in January 2012. Nick Cannon said he experienced symptoms of fatigue and swelling in his knees before a New Year’s vacation in Aspen that worsened while he was there. He thought it might be because of the higher elevation in Colorado, but trouble breathing and pain in his kidneys made him seek medical help. He was hospitalized on Jan. 4, 2012, and tests confirmed the diagnosis. Since then, Nick Cannon has been an active advocate and spokesperson for lupus awareness.
Nick Cannon is not shy in chronicling his battle against lupus through his online videos, in the media and at personal appearances. Watch a video of him in a brief interview with Lupus.org to discuss how he is living with lupus. Nick Cannon, like myself, is taking it one day at a time.
