George Floyd, 46, died in police custody after police arrested him for suspicion of “forgery”.

His arrest went viral after video was released showing Minneapolis officer, Derek Chauvin, applying pressure to Floyd’s neck as he pleaded he couldn’t breathe.

According to various reports, Floyd was transferred to a local hospital where he later died.

Following Floyd’s death, Derek Chauvin and three other Minneapolis police officers have been fired.

The death of the George Floyd has drawn outrage and nationwide protests.
