Project Ghana on 2020 Election

The topic was the 2020 Election.

Many things were discussed during this conference such as the policies of the current president Donald Trump and the policies Joe Biden would put into effect.

The conversation ranged from how the candidates viewed law and order, climate change, taxes, job creation, and the current pandemic problem of COVID-19.

In addition, both sides gave their opinions in regards to the presidential debates between president Trump, and former vice president Biden.

Conversation on politics

From there, the conversation discussed how politics work in the U.S. For instance, it was discussed that a candidate for the presidency of the United States could win the electoral college put still lose the popular vote.

As both sides realized, Biden would win not only the electoral college but also the popular vote. Furthermore, even though Joe Biden won the presidency, Mr. Wronko and Papa Williams explained to all students that in order for a bill from Joe Biden to be passed, it must be passed by the senate controlled by the republicans. However, the democrats may gain control over the senate pending on the races in Georgia. Therefore, if that were to happen, Joe Biden could get bills through congress without much of a problem.

2020 Election – Vice president Kamala Harris

Also discussed was our first Woman Black and South Asian vice president Kamala Harris. Both sides felt that she would do a good job as being VP.

How did Trump handle the pandemic

Finally, the last topic that was discussed with Mr. Wronko’s Asbury Park High School students and the students from the Solid Rock Foundation in Ghana was how did Trump handle the pandemic and if Biden could do a better job.

Both sides felt that president Trump should of promoted more use of wearing masks and that Biden must put that into effect immediately.

That concluded that day’s session.
