Just recently Mr. Wronko and his students from Asbury Park High School along with the students from the Solid Rock Foundation School in Ghana had a video conference with New Jersey Assemblyman Sean Kean.

Mr. Kean had been a guest of the Ghana sessions on numerous occasions speaking to different students throughout the years from Mr. Wronko’s class and the students at the Solid Rock Foundation School in Ghana.

Assemblyman Sean Kean speaks remotely to students

This time was very unique speaking with Mr. Kean because it was done remotely instead of him being in the school live due to the pandemic crisis of Covid 19. Mr. Kean took time out from a very demanding schedule to meet with all the students to have a conversation about his profession.

Academic background

Sean Kean spoke to all students about his background. For instance, Mr. Kean obtained a B.A. at Seton Hall University in Political Science. He also received a M.A.L.S. at Columbia University in American Studies as well a J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law. From there, he explained that he was a lawyer who practiced law with his own firm. In addition, he explained the work he did as an Assemblyman such as being a representative of his constituents and creating and voting on the passage of bills in the New Jersey Legislature. He stated that currently he was involved with helping to pass a law in the legislature that would provide relief for businesses that were affected by the Covid 19 crisis.

Questions for Assemblyman Sean Kean

All the students from both schools during this video conference asked Mr. Kean numerous questions such as what made him go into politics, how did he develop an interest in history and law, and what he planned to do with his future. Mr. Kean also asked his own questions to the students in Mr. Wronko’s class and Ghana regarding their interests in what they might want to do in life as well as their well being during this rough time of the pandemic.

Everyone thanked Mr. Kean for taking his time out to participate in this Ghana Session and he expressed interest in attending another in the near future.
