With the 10 year anniversary coming up for Aaliyah’s untimely death, BET announced through a tweet a special tribute was in the works for the Detroit singer.
The rising singer-movie star was killed in a plane crash on August 25th, 2001 in the Bahamas after “Rock The Boat” video shoot.
BET is set to honor the Aaliyah with a tribute special commemorating her life. The show, entitled ‘Aaliyah: One In a Million,’ will feature commentary from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Patti Labelle, Kelly Rowland and more.
Fans can tune into BET on Thursday, August 25 at 8pm est to catch the special.
