Melanie Amaro, the winner of the first season of the American X Factor, has signed a $5 million deal with Epic Records
Melanie Amaro, the winner of the first season of the American X Factor, has signed a $5 million deal with Epic Records.
X Factor Judge, Antonio “L.A” Reid is the CEO and Chairman of the label. In a statement Reid said
“I joined The X Factor to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie.
“I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent and her inevitable journey to super-stardom.”
The deal is apart of the grand prize for winning X Factor which included the $5 million contract and a Pepsi commercial that will air during the Super Bowl in February.
The 19-year-old British Virgin Island Native beat out Chris Rene and Josh Krajick for the title.
