Rapper and actor Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, is bringing awareness to the force-fed procedure conducted at Guantanamo Bay.

Yasiin Bey teams with Reprieve; a human rights advocacy group and director Asif Kapadia to capture the horrific torture being regularly executed at Guantánamo Bay on detainees who are participating in hunger strikes.

As Ramadan begins, more than 100 hunger-strikers in Guantánamo Bay continue their protest. More than 40 of them are being force-fed.

This also raised the question whether prisoners who are Muslims are being force fed throughout Ramadan, to which the U.S. Government hasn’t given a sufficient answer.

An alleged leaked document sets out the military instructions, or standard operating procedure, for force-feeding detainees.
