Video Of George Zimmerman On Police Surveillance Shows No Blood, Bruises

A newly released video on the night George Zimmerman was taken into custody for questioning for shooting Trayvon Martin shows him with no visible signs of blood or bruises that was documented in police reports. His clean-shaven appearance seems to refute the violent beating he told police.

The video obtained by ABC News, George Zimmerman claims seem to be inconsistent with the statements he released to police. The neighborhood watch captain says he shot Trayvon after he was punched in the nose, knocked down and had his head slammed into the ground.

In the video surveillance, his face and hands are visible showing no injuries of the fight he described.

The surveillance video, which was obtained exclusively by ABC News, shows Zimmerman arriving in a police cruiser. As he exits the car, his hands are cuffed behind his back. He is frisked and then led down a series of hallways, still cuffed.

George Zimmerman, 28, is wearing a red and black fleece and his face and head are cleanly shaven. He appears well built, hardly the portly young man depicted in a 2005 mug shot that until a two days ago was the single image the media had of Zimmerman.
