Theodore Wafer was convicted of second-degree murder in the Nov. 2 death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride.
Theodore Wafer, 55, admitted to shooting Renisha McBride, 19, in the face when she appeared at his doorstep but he claimed it was self-defense.
A preliminary hearing was held this week in the shooting death of Renisha McBride.
Renisha McBride, 19, was killed in Dearborn Heights, Mich, located just west of Detroit.
