Rapper Lil Phat, killed outside women’s hospital

Rapper, Lil Phat was killed in Atlanta Thursday night. He was found in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA.

19-year-old rapper Lil Phat was killed in Atlanta Thursday night. He was found in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA.

Melvin Vernell III was found in a car parked in a parking structure near Northside Hospital Women’s Center. He was taken to Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to AJC, police spokesman Capt. Steve Rose said Friday morning that police are searching for two males “seen running from the location at the time of the shooting.”

Witnesses described one as short and wearing a red shirt, and the other as tall and dressed in all black, Rose said.
