A disrespectful photo featuring two young men dressed as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman has caused outrage.

The two men from Florida dressed as:

  • Trayvon Martin with a black face and blood-stained hoodie
  • George Zimmerman with a shirt that reads “neighborhood” watch as Halloween costumes.

Caitlin Cimeno, of Martha’s Vineyard, reportedly uploaded the image and captioned it, “Happy Halloween from Zimmerman and Trayvon,” followed by a smiley‑face emoticon.

She appears in the photo standing between Greg Cimeno, 22, who dressed as Zimmerman, and William Filene, 25, who posed as Martin.

In the photo, Greg Cimeno, of Cape Coral, Fl., points his hand like a gun and directs it at Filene’s head.

Meanwhile, Filene, who is white, painted his face black and wore a gray hoodie marked by a single gunshot wound to the chest and surrounded by fake blood.

According to  The Smoking Gun, Filene has an arrest record for loitering/prowling and failing to register an automobile. Authorities reportedly last arrested him in June on a felony auto‑theft charge. A judge later sentenced him to 18 months of probation.

As for the woman in the middle. While her Instagram account remains private, her profile states “Stand For What a [sic] You Believe In. And Make Sure You Stand Your Ground.”

The photo drew attention immediately, causing outrage over the indecent photo.

Whoever thinks it’s funny to make a mockery of Trayvon Martin’s death as a Halloween costume is truly ignorant.
