Hot 97 buys Power 105’s domain name, owns it until 2017
According to Complex, Hot 97 purchased Power 105′s www.Power105.com domain name.
For years there’s been an ongoing feud between two New York powerhouse radio stations. After Power 105′s Angie Martinez left Hot 97, the war between New York’s top two Hip-Hop radio stations appears to have intensified and the plot seems to continue to thicken.
According to Complex, Hot 97 allegedly purchased Power 105′s domain name and has owned it for quite some time now.
Since 2000, Hot 97 has owned the Power 105’s domain name and in 2013, they re-registered the name.
This has forced Power 105 to go with www.Power1051fm.com. But it only gets worse.
Not only did Hot 97 purchase their domain name, but also, Power105.com redirects you to Hot 97′s homepage.
In addition, Hot 97 owns Power 105’s domain name until 2017.
And though some might consider this shady, this was indeed a great business move by Hot 97!
