HOT 97’s “Street Soldiers w/ Lisa Evers” 6th annual Push 4 Peace Town Hall event takes over Brooklyn Borough Hall this Saturday, in partnership with Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams.
The purpose is to bring together youth, community leaders, artists, athletes and entertainers to focus on solutions and alternatives to violence. This year, a strong focus will be on improving police-community relations. The Town Hall will air as a special episode of “Street Soldiers” on Sunday, July 31st on HOT 97. It will also air as a special two-part TV special on FOX 5 on Saturday, August 6th & 13th at 10:30pm ET. Lisa Evers says, “Use your mind; it’s your best weapon. I hope it’s your only weapon. Let’s push 4 peace!”
Push 4 Peace was created in 2011 in Newark, New Jersey with Lisa
and her “Street Soldiers” team, and then Mayor Cory Booker, to promote alternatives to violence and gang involvement.
