Actor Bert Belasco, best known for his regular role in the BET series “Let’s Stay Together,” has died at age 38.

Bert Belasco dead at 38
Belasco’s father, Bert Sr., revealed that his son was found dead on Sunday in a hotel in Virginia after the actor’s girlfriend couldn’t reach him. Hotel staff found him dead with blood on the sheets, according to TMZ.
The actor was in Virginia for a new movie he was set to appear in, his father said. He was reportedly staying at the hotel under quarantine before filming.
Bert Sr. believes his son died of an aneurysm, however the family is awaiting the autopsy results before announcing his official cause of death.
Career
“Let’s Stay Together” ran for four seasons on BET, starting in 2011. Belasco starred as Charles, the contractor and fiancé of main character Stacy Lawrence, played by Nadine Ellis. He also appeared in shows such as “The Mick,” “I’m Dying Up Here,” “Pitch,” “Key and Peele,” “Justified” and more.
Belasco graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2005 with a degree in theater. During his time at SIUC, Belasco landed leading roles in multiple plays. He has also spent time at Chicago’s Second City Theatre, and participated in the TVI Actors Studio Summer Institute in Los Angeles, and a master class with acting instructor David Aulicino.
Bert Belasco was 38.
Update: In January 2021, the Henrico County medical examiner confirmed Belasco died of natural causes citing his cause of death from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
