Slutty Vegan CEO Pinky Cole is showing off her family in a new PETA ad campaign entitled “Garden of Vegan.”
Cole, who recently opened her latest restaurant Slutty Vegan Brooklyn, appears with her infant son, DJ, and toddler, daughter D Ella— in a new ad for PETA exclusively shared with Unheard Voices.
“I want my children to understand that you can live a cruelty-free lifestyle and it can taste good,” says Cole, a PETA honorary board member. “I’m very mindful of the food that I consume, and I’m also mindful of the food I’m gonna give my children. And I’m excited that they get the opportunity to grow up this way.”
The new ad, shot by top Atlanta-based photography team Tropico, marks the trio’s first official photoshoot together.
Garden of Vegan initiative
According to the release, the campaign encourages families to know the benefits of vegan food options.
“Each person who joins Cole and her family in going vegan spares nearly 200 animals every year, slashes their carbon footprint, and reduces their risk of suffering from heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and cancer”, says PETA

Garden of Eden
Healthy vegan meals—which are free of eggs and cow’s milk, the top two causes of food allergies in infants and children—provide kids with all the nutrients they need to thrive, according to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Food Justice campaign
Cole and PETA recently teamed up in Atlanta to launch the group’s food justice campaign, which calls on the government to redirect subsidies for the meat, egg, and dairy industries to incentives for grocers in low-income areas to stock fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy, humane foods.
