Black Conservative Woman, Once Trump’s Biggest Supporter, Denounces Him
Former MAGA Supporter Publicly Explains Her Break with Trump in Latest Blog Post.
Luring Lady, a conservative Black woman who was once one of Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters, has made a public declaration that she will no longer vote for the former president, calling him “unhinged” and a “liar.”
Black conservative woman Luring Lady shares thoughts
Known for her outspoken views on conservative policies, Luring Lady has shared her deeply personal and reflective blog post, shedding light on her disillusionment with Trump.
Her Instagram handle, @Luring_Lady, is now a hub for her evolving political discussions.
In her online blog, Luring Lady reflects on her past loyalty to Trump, describing how she alienated friends and family due to her firm support for his agenda.
She writes, “I lost friends, family, and respect from people because I was a proud MAGA supporter. Now, it’s all so clear.”
What drove her away
While she still aligns with some of Trump’s policies, such as immigration and the “America First” approach, Luring Lady explains that “Trump’s erratic behavior—his refusal to peacefully transfer power, his incitement of violence after the 2020 election, and his divisive rhetoric”—ultimately drove her away. A particularly jarring moment was Trump’s comment about immigrants “taking Black jobs,” which Luring Lady found to be an exploitative manipulation of systemic racism.
Her blog post also critiques Trump’s spreading of misinformation, including a doctored image of Kamala Harris with P. Diddy and his bizarre claim about immigrants “eating pets.”
“I can’t believe I supported him for as long as I did,” Luring Lady writes. “His erratic behavior, constant lying, and willingness to incite violence show he’s unfit to lead. I won’t make excuses for him anymore.”
Black conservatives changing course
Luring Lady’s story adds to the growing chorus of Black conservatives who are reconsidering their support for Trump. Media outlets are encouraged to reach out for interviews and publish her story as she continues to use her platform to discuss political and social issues.

Regina King stars as Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman in Congress
Shirley is will be released on Netflix March 22.
In the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix movie Shirley, Regina King stars as the first Black woman to be elected to Congress.
Regina King as Shirley Chisholm
Chisholm’s story will be chronicled, showing her uphill battle and obstacles to win a seat in Congress as the daughter of a Barbados-born maid and a Guyanese laborer, her struggles to navigate Congress alongside her White male colleagues, and her groundbreaking 1972 presidential campaign.
Movie production
Produced by Regina King and her sister Reina King, Shirley also stars the late Lance Reddick, Lucas Hedges, Terrence Howard, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christina Jackson and more.
King, who spent 15 years producing the film, said the project was an incredible feat.
“It was always a little disheartening for Reina and I to have so many people over the years of our lives not know who Shirley Chisholm was,” King told Harper’s Bazaar.
“What she did was so pioneering. She was a true maverick and, you know, we use this term all the time, but she was a true first.”
King said they decided to release the film during an election year as they thought it would make for a more “impactful” release.
“As a team, we felt that is probably the best way we could possibly honor Shirley: to release her in a space that she created for herself.”
