Orginial story
A Toledo, Ohio family is asking for the public’s help finding 13-year-old Keimani Latigue, who has been missing since Mar. 18.
Details about missing Toledo teen Keimani Latigue
Keimani is described as 5′6, 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The teen’s grandmother said the Keimani had never run away before. She described her granddaughter as a latchkey kid, reports WTVG 13 ABC.
Keimani never showed up for school and her cell phone has been going straight to voicemail.
Her grandmother told the outlet she came home from work and the door was unlocked.
“It was Monday morning and when I came home, she wasn’t here. Of course, she was supposed to have been on her way to school. But, according to the way that the house was set up once I got here because it was in complete disarray. She wasn’t here so I called the school so I could talk to her and they said that she wasn’t there,” Dorothy Latigue said.
Family describes suspicious findings
Keimani left her keys and glasses at the house. The teen’s grandmother said the 13-year-old can’t see without her glasses. She also said the stove was on and she could smell gas.
“Other than her and I, it’s just two dogs in the house. So, who cut it on? So that was kind of suspicious. Her glasses in her underclothes were by the couch in the front. Her pajamas were on the dining room floor,” Dorothy Latigue said.
The family has been handing out flyers telling people if they saw or see her they should call the police.
Keimani Latigue’s father alleged he saw his daughter late that Sunday night after she called him and said she was afraid to be home alone.
“I came over here because she said that it seemed like somebody was trying to break into the house. Me and my cousin sat over here for an hour and we left around 12:30 ish,” Keimani Latigue’s father said.
