Jackson, Mississippi – A Civil Rights Group in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking justice for the brutal killing of James Craig Anderson. Anderson was killed in a deadly hit and run in an alleged hate crime.
Justice for James Craig Anderson
The New Order National Human Rights organization wants justice for James Craig Anderson. Right now, only one person is charged with murder in the case.
Suspect
19-year-old Deryl Dedmon is charged with capital murder in the case. He was allegedly driving the truck that killed Anderson.
This organization says there were other people allegedly involved in the murder as well. They’re wondering why those people aren’t being charged.
“I know if I got a vehicle now with 7 other people and the color of my skin and run over a white person or any other race we will all be locked up right now” says Gerald Rose with the organization
The family of 49-year-old James Anderson has requested that, if they get a conviction, prosecutors not seek the death penalty against the murder suspect.
