Parole board delays decision on Troy Davis fate
The state Board of Pardons and Paroles, after hearing a full day of testimony over the fate of Troy Davis, will not be issuing a decision today on whether to grant or deny him clemency, the board said late Monday.
The board delayed its decision after hearing impassioned pleas from members of Davis’ family and his lawyers and from the surviving relatives of slain Savannah Police Officer Mark Allen MacPhail.
