Dr. Thornton and her five sisters grew up in Long Branch under the watchful eye of their father, Donald Thornton.
Knowing that education was the beacon of hope and prosperity for his daughters,
Donald steered his daughters in the path of becoming doctors. With a successful music career, the Thornton Sisters as Dr. Yvonne Thornton discusses so frankly how they left fame and glory behind to concentrate on fulfilling a father’s legacy in her new book, “Something to Prove.”
