The Scarlet Knights of Rutgers lost a heart breaker to the Louisville Cardinals 16 to 14.

Scarlet Knights loses

The Scarlet knights had several opportunities to put the game away but was plagued by mistakes and drop balls.

The win would have kept the Scarlet Knights undefeated in the Big East play and would have extended their winning streak to 5.

Rutgers now drops to 5 – 2 and 2 and 1 in the the Big East! Rutgers next game is at home against number 11 West Virginia who just came off of a whipping by Syracuse!

The Conference stands as follows:

Cincinnati 2-0 conference 6-1 Overall
Rutgers 2-1 conference 5-2 Overall
Syracuse 1-1 conference 5-2 Overall
West Virginia (11) conference 1-1 5-2 Overall
Pittsburgh 1-1 conference 3-4 Overall
Louisville 1-1 conference 3-4 Overall
Connecticut 1-1 conference 3-4 Overall
South Florida 0-3 conference 4-3 Overall
