A GoFundMe has raised nearly $30,000 in honor of former LSU Football player, Kyren Lacy. He was found dead over the weekend following an apparent suicide.

“On April 12, 2025, our community suffered an unimaginable loss with the passing of Kyren Lacy. Kyren was so much more than a name — he was a beloved son, brother, cousin, friend, and teammate. He touched countless lives with his heart, his strength, and his unwavering positivity,” the fundraiser reads.

As Kyren’s family deals with this immeasurable loss, they want to honor his legacy as a young man who carried love and “represented his family, his community, and his school with pride and humility”.
“The news of his passing has rocked all of us — from his hometown to the LSU family and far beyond. In the midst of this heartbreak, so many have reached out asking how they can help and show support. This GoFundMe has been created as the official place to offer donations of love and support to Kyren’s family during this incredibly difficult time.”
