DOUBLE HEADER: SPITTA SAYS JUST "LET ME TALK!" WHILE QBANGZ SAYS TO SHARPEN THE CRAFT, WORDPLAY, AND SWAG!

For Ru Spits, turning rapping into a profession came from the influence of greats such as NAS, B.I.G., and many others.

Who is Ru Spits?

Coming far from his rhyming days in Junior High School, his grind is evident and he makes it obvious that he’s only going to go harder.

The industry is nothing new for Spitta.  In “99,  he was a member of the group, CRUM CORP, which was based out of Queens.

This group was comprised of Olivia, SAS, Bubba Smiff, and Neko Crum; before the group disbanded they released two mixtapes.

Through the years, Ru Spits gained popularity in the Miami area and opened for Pitbull, Jackie O. and Rick Ross.

After his stint in Miami, he returned to the NYC area where he formed Fire & Ice Entertainment with his partners DJ Big Tyme and Bundy Crum.

Fire & Ice Entertaiment opened their studio in Rosedale, NY and began working with artists.

He released his mixtape “Slum Music Volume 2: City of Spits which featured JR Writer. In 2005, “Slum Music Volume 3: Flood the Market was released.

This mixtape had a street-loved banger entitled, “I Just Borrow”, which featured Nicki Minaj.

With the success and respect of “Slum Music Volume 3”, Spits was introduced to DipSet and earned the opportunity to produce tracks on Cam’Ron’s album, “Purple Haze”.

More success came through the years, more mixtapes, and even a DVD series entitled, “Fient Out TV”; which is currently still a success.

Ru Spits earned even more stage recognition when he opened for Jay Mills, Wyclef, Maino, and Jadakiss, just to name a few.

After the fore-mentioned success comes Spitta’s latest mixtape release,”Fire Flame Spitta”.

This mixtape features great producers and artists as well as a track titled, “Making Calls” which is a collaboration with QBangz.

Who is QBangz ?

QBANGZ SAYS TO SHARPEN THE CRAFT, WORDPLAY, AND SWAG!

Q bangz

QBangz was in raised in Essex County so home for him is Newark, East Orange, Maplewood and everywhere in between.

Like Spitta, Q grew a liking to music at a young age. It was at the age of 12 that Q started to write rhymes. Writing to instrumental from DJs like Fatman Scoop, DJ Clue, Ron G, Craig G, and DJ Doo Wop encouraged Q to practice his writing skills.

Q also developed his knowledge of bars and stanzas by taking creative writing classes. A little taste at a keyboard class gave Q the kickstart he needed to start producing on his own. In his youth, Q battled anywhere possible; lunch rooms locker rooms, anywhere it was necessary to be heard.  With a stint in the NAVY, Q traveled the world defending our country and still found time to remain true to his love of music.

After his discharge from the NAVY, Q worked a civilian job and and created his music after his day was done. Working with his ANOT (A Nation of Thugs) crew influence the growth of his musical aspiration. As a member of ANOT, Q was the only rapper.

A meeting in 2004, gave Q his debut. By linking up with Jen Cyph, a music producer who worked with many NJ based Indie Artists; Q was featured on “Division East Project”. Q did not want to become another,”street statistic”, so he left for Virginia in 2009 to attended ITT Tech for Graphic Design.

Soon after, Q returned to his love of music. In 2010, he began working with many Indie Rap Artists and linked up with Ru Spits.  From there, the collabrations became endless.

Q uses music as his release therapy from the challenges of life. He ensures that he stands out from the mass of up and coming artists by not having a specific way of rhyming or sounding. It all depends on his mood, he describes his voice as powerful, raw, soothing, peaceful, grimy, and hungry.

His delivery can be compared to artists such as Cormega, Mobb Deep, and Helter Skelter.

What’s next for Spitta and Q? The boundaries are limitless. They both have indivdual projects; Spitta with his

“Let Me Talk” mixtape and Q with his “For Medicinal Use Only”, you can be sure to expect never-ending hit after hit.  In 2013, keep your ear and eye out for Spitta’s official album release.

Don’t think it is all about music either, Spitta and Q are creating a viral campaign for everything! As Spitta puts, there will be products and swag also. Clothing lines to look out for are: Kash Kow and Stitistix Clothing where there is a family collabration with SKYYHIGH ENT. and Fire & Ice Entertainment.

The capabilities of their network is unstoppable, that way there will always be something new for the street!
